Cooking

“Cookery is not a chemistry. It is an art. It requires instinct and taste rather than exact measurements”  -Marcel Boulestin

Since I moved to Canada in August 2011 and made my first Daal Bhaat (Lentil Soup and Rice), I realized I truly enjoy cooking and love to try new things. I admit that I have a typical taste bud and I always make an effort to cook the stuff  that’s on the East Indian menu, and mind you – there is a lot.

My sincere thanks to Chefs : Sanjay Thumma, Harpal Singh Sokhi, Late Tarla Dalal, Madhura Kadam, Nisha Madhulika, Archana Arte, Sanjeev Kapoor & team and You Tube for their great efforts. The videos are very innovative and informative and I can’t thank you guys enough for all your hard work and creativity in putting these wonderful videos together for millions of us who are away from home. The food tastes exactly like I would want it to be.

The sooner you start cooking your own meal, the sooner you understand the efforts,  all the hard work  and specially the love that your mom puts in that pot that make the food taste so delicious.

I am having a liking for outdoor cooking but I haven’t tried it yet and I believe it would be awesome. We all have barbecued outdoors, but no-roof cooking is a whole different ballgame.
